Crunchy Peanut Butter Bars

Crunchy Peanut Butter BarsI had most of a can of Eagle Brand milk leftover from making the homemade Samoa Girl Scout cookies this week, so I needed a yummy way to use it up.  Enter the Eagle Brand Milk website.  These bars whipped together in a flash and were big hits with the small fry.  I love the internet.Crunchy Peanut Butter Bars

Crunchy Peanut Butter Bars

  • 1 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  1. Stir flour, brown sugar and egg together in a bowl.

  4. Remove 2 cups of crumb mixture and reserve it in a small bowl.
  5. Press remaining mixture into the bottom of a 9X13 pan.
  6. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.
  7. Meanwhile, beat the condensed milk, peanut butter and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  8. Spread over the baked crust.
  9. Top with reserved 2 cups of crumb mixture.
  10. Bake an additional 20 minutes.
  11. Cool.
  12. Cut into bars.

*** I have made these a couple of times now.  My family loves them drizzled with chocolate sauce as shown in the photos.  Some even added a dollop of whipped cream and said they were reminiscent of s’mores bars…though I couldn’t see it with the strong peanut butter flavor.  Crunchy Peanut Butter Bars
