Two For One Recipe: Pizza and Cinnamon Rolls

Pizza and Cinnamon Rolls from the same dough
I have posted this recipe before, but I want to expand it a bit and show you what else can be done with it. The other night, we had pizza.  So, I made cinnamon rolls with the rest. I got dinner, dessert and breakfast for the next morning out of 15 minutes’ worth of effort. What a gift for a mom!

Cinnamon Rolls and Pizza from the same doughYou can freeze these instead of baking them.  Just thaw and bake.

  1. >Well aren't you clever. I had better not tell my son this because I finally got him to quit making pizzas every day. My poor bread machine was getting tired of making the dough.

  2. >I love it when I use the dough for other things besides what I made it for. I usually make fried dough with some of my dough and last week I made bread, cinnamon rolls and the fried dough….Not good when Hubs is trying to diet.

  3. >Fabulous 2-fer recipe! Love your creativity, and I'm going to try this recipe. I have a pizza recipe I use all the time, but I like the idea of one thing serving two delicious purposes.

  4. >This is a great gift to mom. Thanks for sharing. I always try to make extra bread/pizza dough when I make it so that I can do a little something extra.

I love the look of your pizza. It looks professionally made, you are a great pizza maker! Your cinnamon rolls are delicious looking too. So tall and robust! I wish I could have come for dinner……… just wishing…..

    Thanks again for sharing.

  5. >Great idea. I always loved making pizza at home with my daughter – we made some really creative ones at times, but it was always fun. Beginning August 5, I will be hosting Crock Pot Wednesdays at Diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com, and I hope you will join me. THERE WILL BE PRIZES:)!!!

    1. If basic bread or roll dough is available in your grocery freezer, you could use it to make both pizza and cinnamon rolls. Puff pastry, however, would not work.
